Description

Our 17 or 20 key DIY mechanical keyboard kit makes a perfect accompaniment to our 60% dmk60. The 100% through-hole kit can be paired with your choice of Cherry MX style switches and keycaps for a numpad, gamepad, macropad or whatever else you can think of.

The ATMega328-PU processor comes pre-programmed as a 17 key numpad but can be turned into anything you can imagine using qmk. More information including assembly instructions can be found on our dmk20 github page.

Note: Required for a complete keyboard, but not included are:
1. Solder (and optionally a suitable no-clean flux)
2. 17 to 20 MX style key switches (depending on intended layout)
3. Suitable keycaps
4. USB type B cable
5. (Optional) 3x 2u PCB mount stabilizers can optionally be used for the longer ‘0’, ‘+’ and ‘Enter’ keys.

Tools required for assembly are:
1. Soldering iron
2. Diagonal cutters
3. De-soldering wick (not required but recommended)
4. Small slot head screw driver
5. 4mm spanner (or in a pinch a set of flat nosed pliers or strong set of fingers)
